God bless and good evening!
We must begin by saying, "Thank You" for your prayers, your kind words and gestures. We are so grateful and appreciative.
We continue to solicit your prayers not only for BJ (Benita), but for our family as well. God has truly blessed us with some great doctors during these past months, beginning with Dr. Janet Dittus (Gynecologist) to Dr. Pat Whitworth (Breast Surgeon) to Dr. Tony Meluch (Medical Oncologist) to Dr. Robert LaGrone (Rheumatologist) to Dr. Dawn Vincent (Dermatologist) to Dr. James Gray (Radiation Oncologist).
In the last few weeks we've seen our Medical Oncologist (who by the way, is awesome...yeah Dr. Meluch) who gave us great news re: the CT/PET Scans...the scans were all clear. (Praise God!)
Dr. Meluch was ready to begin the radiation therapy, but because of this questionable rash that came upon my face, he sent us to see the Dermatologist. Last Tuesday (1/17) she took a biopsy from the rash and we're now waiting for the results. According to Dr. LaGrone, there is only one lab in the country that can conclusively tell us if the biopsied tissue is from active lupus. (Which we don't believe it is...your agreement in PRAYER with us is needed) Our medical and radiaton oncologist don't believe it is either. However, if it is determined to be lupus, the radiation therapy becomes questionable. Lupus is a connective tissue disorder and the concern is that the radiation would cause or could cause more issues.
So, all of our "OLOGISTS" (:>) are working together to determine the best plan of action for us. A low dose radiation may be possible otherwise, Dr. Whitworth comes back on the scene and we have to look at doing a mastectomy. (Which we don't believe will be necessary...AGAIN your agreement in PRAYER with us is needed) That's the option if we can't radiate the breast the tumor was removed from in September.
Prayerfully, we will be able to share with you our treatment direction next week.
The cool thing about all of this is that our faith is still rock solid in Jesus Christ. However, what's even cooler and better than our strong faith is God's unfailing LOVE for us and our love for Him. Enjoy reading the love chapter below.

| 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 |
|
1 If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, F65 but do not have love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. 7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. 9 For we know only in part, and we prophesy only in part; 10 but when the complete comes, the partial will come to an end. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became an adult, I put an end to childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, F66 but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known. 13 And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.
