Roosevelt and Benita Walker are native Arkansans and have been married for almost 20 years and live in Nashville, Tennessee. They are the parents of two teenage boys, Roosevelt Jr. and Zachary. Roosevelt and Benita, have been involved in marriage enrichment ministry through teaching and couple counseling for the past several years. They recently joined the Nashville African American Healthy Marriage Initiative core group.Roosevelt and Benita are seminar leaders at Lifeway Festival of Marriage events and other sponsored marriage enrichment conferences around the country.
Roosevelt, Senior Pastor at Faith United Baptist Church, holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Virginia Union University, Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology in Richmond, VA. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR. While Benita, a member of the American Association of Christian Couselors, is the Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice-President for Spiritual Development at Belmont University in Nashville.
Roosevelt and Benita are very passionate about seeing marriages become “gems” not “germs” and a source of “ministry” not “menacetry”, to the Lord, spouses, families, the local church and the broader community.
