Roosevelt and Benita Walker are native Arkansans and have been married for 20 plus years and live in Nashville, Tennessee. They are the parents of two sons, Roosevelt Jr. and Zachary. Roosevelt and Benita, have been involved in marriage enrichment ministry through teaching and couple counseling for over 15 years. They are members of the Nashville Marriage Network (former Nashville African American Healthy Marriage Initiative) core group.Roosevelt and Benita were seminar leaders at Lifeway Festival of Marriage events and other sponsored marriage enrichment conferences around the country.
Roosevelt, Senior Pastor at Faith United Baptist Church, holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Virginia Union University, Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology in Richmond, VA. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR. While Benita, a member of the American Association of Christian Couselors works in Spiritual Development at Belmont University in Nashville.
Roosevelt and Benita are very passionate about seeing marriages become “gems” not “germs” and a source of “ministry” not “menacetry”, to the Lord, spouses, families, the local church and the broader community.
